User Guides, Keywords & Search Terms

A common question for new, as well as experienced, researchers often begins with where to start. In this section, we offer some guidelines on where to begin.

First, the wealth of user guides, new and old, can be found online and in library collections. User guides are a beneficial way to find out what exists and where the location is. Allow those who have gone before us to leave some bread crumbs, so we can follow the trail and not get lost.

Second, the vocabulary needed to continue your research journey can be accessed through keyword searching. Established terms can help you along the path.

Third, librarians are an extremely helpful source when beginning research. Do not be afraid to ask!
