Central Pennsylvania Chapter Awards Nomination Open

The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of ASPA is accepting nominations for its 5th Annual Awards Ceremony on May 4, 2017 in the Harrisburg area.

  1. Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Administration 
    • Must be (or have been) an employee of a non-profit organization; local, state or federal agency; business; or health administration entity in Pennsylvania.
    • Must have at least 25 years of public service experience.
    • Demonstrates conspicuous leadership and achievement throughout their career in public service that advance the mission and vision of ASPA.
    • This individual can be an ASPA Member or a non-ASPA Member in Pennsylvania.

  2. Excellence in Public Service Award in Public Administration
    • Must be an employee of a non-profit organization; local, state or federal agency; business; or health administration entity in Pennsylvania.
    • Demonstrates evidence of accomplishing or causing to accomplish significant programs or projects benefitting the general public that advance the mission and vision of ASPA.
    • This individual can be an ASPA Member or a non-ASPA Member in Pennsylvania.

  3. Public Servant Leadership Award in Public Administration 
    • Must be an employee of a non-profit organization; local, state or federal agency; business; health administration entity; or an institute of higher education in Pennsylvania.
    • Demonstrates evidence of accomplishing or causing to accomplish significant programs or projects benefitting the general public that advance the mission and vision of ASPA.
    • Must be a Member of the Central PA Chapter of ASPA.

  4. Excellence in Local Government Award in Public Administration
    • Must be an employee of a local government entity in Pennsylvania.
    • Demonstrates evidence of accomplishing or causing to accomplish significant programs or projects benefitting the general public that advance the mission and vision of ASPA.
    • This individual can be an ASPA Member or a non-ASPA Member in Pennsylvania.

  5. Outstanding Young Professional Award in Public Administration
    • Must be an employee of a non-profit organization; local, state or federal agency; business; or health administration entity in Pennsylvania.
    • Must be under the age of 40 at the time of nomination.
    • Demonstrates evidence of accomplishing or causing to accomplish significant programs or projects benefitting the general public that advance the mission and vision of ASPA.
    • This individual can be an ASPA Member or a non-ASPA Member in Pennsylvania.

  6. Outstanding Student Award in Public Administration 
    • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at an institute of higher education in Pennsylvania.
    • Must be enrolled in a public administration, health administration, public policy or political science (or similar area of study) at the time of nomination.
    • Must be in good academic standing (overall GPA of 3.0 or higher).
    • Demonstrates an extraordinary understanding of and a strong commitment to a career in public administration, health administration, public policy or political science.
    • This individual can be an ASPA Member or a non-ASPA Member in Pennsylvania.
