ASPA Series in Public Administration and Public Policy Aims and Scope
|
Throughout its history, ASPA has sought to be true to its founding principles of promoting scholarship and professionalism within the public service. This new series on Public Administration and Public Policy publishes books that increase national and international interest for public administration, and contribute to national debates, including disciplinary discourse. It offers excellent examples of how our field applies theory and scholarship to the practice of public administration, public policy and governance.
The books cover emerging or enduring topics that provide good, critical overview and analysis, as well as practical applications. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborative leadership and governance
- Performance measurement
- Collaboration and networking
- Visions for the future of public administration
- All areas of public management (e.g., environmental management)
- International relations in public administration
- Planning and evaluation (incl. performance measurment)
- Ethics and management of ethical behavior
- Emergency management, national security management
- Building citizen trust in democractic institutions
- New approaches to performance budgeting
The ASPA Series in Public Administration and Public Policy represents a stellar opportunity to form closer bonds between academia and practitioners. If you want to propose a book on any of these or related topics, please send a brief, one or two page description to the series editor, Professor Evan M. Berman, below. You can also access a proposal form online. It is not necessary to complete the proposal form before contacting the editor. We look forward to hearing from you with your book idea.
