ASPA Statement on Haiti Earthquake

We, in the American Society for Public Administration, wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. We pray for the safety of the many victims of Haiti living on the island at the time.

We are proud of the many public servants and other individuals who have responded to help the victims and to assist the nation in its recovery from this tragedy. These workers and volunteers have been working tirelessly and heroically under dangerous conditions to help individuals and families affected by this catastrophe.

We hope and pray that the nation of Haiti will, with the help of the United States and other nations, eventually recover and rebuild the housing, infrastructure and lives of its people. Many of our members stand ready to help and contribute to bring about an expeditious recovery.
