As the new President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter, I personally invite you to rejoin ASPA.

As you probably know, ASPA has been the most respected organization in the public administration field for more than 60 years, meeting the personal and professional needs of public employees, nonprofit professionals, students and academicians.

Our chapter has been busy recently, expanding membership as well as program offerings.  With 193 members, we rank 11th out of 122 chapters in terms of size.  In addition to the monthly luncheons, semiannual workshops and annual awards dinner we previously hosted, we are now attempting to address other areas of concern.

One of my first acts as President was to create two new committees: ASPA 101 and Professional Development.  ASPA 101 is designed to reach out to undergraduate and graduate students in our metropolitan area by sponsoring programs on area campuses.  The Professional Development Committee will develop programs and services to assist our members in their career development.
