The Section for Women in Public Administration (SWPA) develops programs and projects that promote the full participation and recognition of women in all levels and areas of public service. SWPA publishes an award-winning newsletter, Bridging the Gap; awards grants to local ASPA chapters to support programs which target issues critical to women; publishes monograph's such as The Right Word: Guidelines for Avoiding Sex-Biased Language; and issues a membership directory.
